The word is spreading about my book! The alumni magazine at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism recently asked me to write an article about the success I’ve had publishing and marketing ”Perfect on Paper” on my own. Click here if you’d like to read it!

Hi everyone– great news! I just found out that “Perfect on Paper” was named a finalist in the chick lit category of the 2009 National Indie Excellence Awards and also won a bronze 2009 IPPY Award for “best book marketing.” Yahoo!
What a week! Fingers crossed for more good news soon…

A remarkable invitation from Harvard
Last week I went to Boston for a couple speaking engagements, one of which was to the Delta Gamma chapter at Harvard. After the event a young woman approached me to tell me how much she enjoyed hearing my story, then invited me to speak on a panel at the 2009 Harvard Women’s Leadership Conference! She said I was “incredibly inspiring” and thought I’d be a great addition to the conference.
Wow. Now that is cool.
The event is August 17…wish me luck!
